We have been home now since Saturday night. These first few days have been so wonderful and fruitful! We feel truly blessed to have such supportive friends and family. Thank you to everyone who has emailed us and left comments on our blog. I have hardly had time to get on the computer to do anything, let alone respond to emails. Please know that Andrew has read your comments to me and I feel so honored to receive your prayers and kind words.
I have begun writing my "a baby story." Hopefully I will have some spare moments during the week to finish so I can post it on the blog. John and I are both doing very well. He really loves to nurse! I am trying to get use to it. I hear it gets better after a few weeks!
Thanks again!
Love,
Lindsey
Y'all should post picture of yourselves as babies so we can see who he looks like. I've been trying to figure it out, and I think I need a little help.

Congratuliations! Once you two are settled in, we should introduce our little ones. I'm glad that everything seems to have worked out so well.
ReplyDeleteYes, nursing does get easier. The important thing is to have a good latch; it helps sooo much. It's also important (if you can) to try to nurse as often as you can, if possible, as this will help your body to adjust more quickly. Don't forget to rest! :)
Welcome to motherhood!! Childbirth is like initiation into this amazing new role! You did it! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAlso, kudos to you for letting your mom in on the experience! That was really nice, it probably wouldn't have been that bad if I would have done the same. If my girls ever have kids I would love to be in the delivery room but I can only hope for the experience.
I've been thinking about you, I was going to call you to give you tips on going natural but I couldn't find your number. I couldn't have done it without going to some really great classes they had at the Seattle Group Health. The personal hot tub in the birthing center helped too. So did you use a certain method such as the Bradley method or Lamaze class or something?? Training, information, and support helped me a lot. I didn't get that much out of Harrison Hospital for my second two.
Breast Feeding does get better and it's well worth it. I went to a Leleche class on that which really helped for my first child. If you need support or anything just let me know.
Again, Congratulations!
Love, Cynthia
