Another tradition I wanted to start for John's birthday was making a ceramic plate to be his "birthday plate." This year we made it and in subsequent years, he will eat off of it on his special day! When we were making it, I couldn't help but imagine him eating from it on his 80th birthday! I hope it lasts that long!

What a delightful treasure! I wish I would have thought to make a birthday plate when our children celebrated their first birthday.
ReplyDeletethat is awesome, I love that place!! We have the Red Celebrate plate....but love this idea. Maybe will just have to start late with some of the kiddos.....
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! BTW, his birthday is the same as my oldest son's...
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I may just have to adopt it myself.
ReplyDeleteI have heard of couples doing this with special "anniversary plates" too!
